I am about to embark on another life changing, chaotic, and unpredictable adventure to where else- but the Middle East. Last year wasn’t enough for me; the place is unlike any other.
So one year later, Israel is calling me back. I am trying to prepare, but it’s not possible. This year is going to be as spontaneous as the last time around. Words can’t describe the feeling of being dropped off at the airport, not knowing where you’ll be taken an hour or two from then. A random chance of fate directs you north or south. This time, I’ll have a nice familiar face- my friend Justin from New Zealand, a volunteer from last year is the one responsible for talking me into 3 weeks of volunteer service again. His hilarious sense of humor and intellect will bring me joy for sure. Again, I will see great people that introduced themselves into my life, I will see the places that made me see in a new way and experience life like it’s meant to be lived- with adventure, love and sharing.
A traveler am I and a navigator, and every day I discover a new region within my soul. -Kahlil Gibran
